I am an environmental scientist with 6+ years of experience in water quality research, specializing in contaminants across wetlands and other aquatic systems. This includes microplastics, nutrient pollution, heavy metals and harmful algal blooms across the freshwater-marine continuum.

Additionally, I am a passionate Author and Science Communicator at Austin Macauley Publishers. There, I authored Ask Annie About Microbiology, a children's book for ages 9–11, featuring accessible explanations of microbiology concepts with engaging coloring pages and definitions. I develop accompanying lesson plans and resources for teachers, fostering interactive science learning and enhancing STEM education for young students.
