An accelerant used in the low-temperature fast-curing epoxy powder coating provided by the invention comprises coated 2-phenylimidazole, a coating layer material of the accelerant comprises polyethylene glycol modified polyvinylpyrrolidone, and the polyethylene glycol modified polyvinylpyrrolidone is obtained by carrying out modification reaction on polyethylene glycol and polyvinylpyrrolidone; the mass ratio of polyvinylpyrrolidone to polyethylene glycol is more than 2.5: 1 and less than or equal to 9: 1; the coated material is 2-phenylimidazole. According to the invention, polyethylene glycol modified polyvinylpyrrolidone with excellent mechanical properties and plasticity is selected as a coating material, and meanwhile, the molecular structure of the coating material is controlled, so that the coated 2-phenylimidazole provided by the invention has good toughness, mechanical strength and appropriate softening point temperature; and the storage stability and low-temperature rapid curing of the epoxy powder coating can be realized.
