The invention discloses an iron tailings recycling method. Tailings soil is prepared by surveying, measuring and selecting a working region, arranging a land parcel in the working region, clearing soil in the land parcel, stripping surface-layer soil in the working region and uniformly mixing the stripped soil with the smashed and sieved iron tailings, a soil conditioner and composted dried humanand animal excreta according to the volume ratio of 4:2:1:1, and the tailings soil is refilled into an original stripping region; different kinds of plants are interplanted in the tailings soil, wheatand spinaches are interplanted after autumn harvest, and corns and edible amaranths are interplanted after summer harvest; after the wheat or the corns are matured, all the plants in a farmland are harvested, and the tailings soil is modified into cultivated soil by harvesting the plants, so that the problems of treatment of crop straws and disposal of the iron tailings are partially solved.
