PURPOSE: A glass melting furnace is provided to optimize a glass melting process and expand the life expectancy of the furnace by uniformly distributing thermal energy and using an electrocast refractories-based crucible. CONSTITUTION: A crucible(110) receives wasted glass and glass frit. A refractory brick layer(120) surrounds the crucible. A heat insulating brick layer(130) surrounds the refractory brick layer. A lower heating wire unit(142) increases the internal temperature of the crucible by being inserted between the bottom surface of the crucible and the refractory brick layer. A plurality of heating wires(141) is inserted into an alumina pipe or a ceramic pipe(151) and is horizontally arranged in the lower heating wire unit. An upper heating wire unit(143) is inserted between the upper side of the crucible and a crucible roof. The crucible is electrocast refractories-based crucible based on alumina-base, zirconia-base, chromia-base, or alumina-zirconia-silica-based material.
