Technique: Our VRBG supports precise microbiological analysis with the following steps:
- Collect, dilute, and prepare samples as required by official standards and specifications.
- Melt the medium in bottles using a water bath (100ºC) or a microwave, ensuring careful temperature control.
- Pour the cooled medium into Petri dishes.
- Solidify on a flat surface and use streaking or spiral methods for plate preparation.
- Incubate the plates aerobically at 35ºC±2.0 for 24 hours, adjusting based on specific sample requirements.
- Enumerate reddish-violet colonies with a red-violet halo, indicative of bile salts precipitation.
- Confirm presumptive isolation of E. coli or coliforms with additional microbiological and biochemical tests.
- Calculate the total microbial count per ml of the sample.
